Our Founder
Rachna Malik
Rachna Malik, the founder of our organization, was diagnosed with clinical depression and was sent to Lodi Road Blind School as part of her therapy plan. This experience not only aided her recovery but also inspired her to dedicate her life to serving humanity. By chance, she began visiting AIIMS to distribute langar once a week. Within a few months, she became acutely aware of the extreme poverty, the plight of outstation patients, and the heartbreaking death of a young girl on the footpath outside AIIMS.

Motivated to make a difference, she initially began assisting three children. Today, she supports over 1000 children.

Our Story
Givers For A Cause, founded by Mrs. Rachna Malik in May 2019, has made significant strides in supporting underserved patients from penniless backgrounds seeking medical care in Delhi Government Hospitals. Key achievements include establishing a High Court-mandated helpline directed to DUSIB for homeless shelter residents and reopening AIIMS’s free pharmacy during COVID-19 to assist stranded patients. Operating near AIIMS Hospital, the trust focuses on people forced to live on nearby footpaths due to financial constraints. These patients , often from remote areas, face challenges like inadequate shelter, medical access, and limited guidance. Givers For A Cause is dedicated to bridging these gaps, driven by a commitment to real-world impact.

Our Work in a Nutshell

Our Work
Our mission is to uplift communities through impactful initiatives focused on health, education, hygiene, seasonal support, and emotional well-being.
We offer education programs like Sunday coloring with kids, school uniforms, bags, and creative supplies to inspire learning. In healthcare, we provide personalized medicines, mobility aids, protein powder, and electric kettles for families and patients, helping them easily heat milk and fluids in challenging living conditions. Our hygiene efforts include distributing sanitary pads, hygiene kits, and raising awareness about menstrual health in underserved communities.
We celebrate festivals like Christmas, Diwali, Eid, and Holi, creating a sense of joy and belonging, especially for children. We also distribute seasonal essentials like umbrellas in the monsoon, blankets, jackets, and warm clothing in winter to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

In times of crisis, like the 2024 floods, we provide immediate relief—water, food, medicines, and educational materials for affected families. We bring fun and excitement with initiatives like the Cupcake and Candy Counters, where children can indulge in treats they've never had before.
Through our collaborations with organizations like The Baby Shop, Samarpan Foundation, and Lyns Club, we expand our impact, providing baby clothes, hygiene kits, mosquito nets, and winter clothing.
